FAQs

Why would I join these conversations?

You want to keep going and you’re finding it hard. You are someone who tries to do good work and lately you’ve realized your belief in humanity is slipping, you feel stuck in the weeds, you’re so busy supporting others but no one is supporting you the way you need, you feel like you are not enough and too much all wrapped in one. You are someone who wants to walk the talk but is afraid to make the needed mistakes in their current position.

Do I need to be employed?

No! We know the wisdom doesn’t start and end with a paycheck. This is for the good work, no matter what shape that takes. We do take a special emphasis on workplace culture because so much of the good work still does take place in traditional spaces. We learn from all to help all!

Is this going to be weird?

Maybe—but the idea is to appeal to as many of y’all as we can. We take care to push the envelope without losing the room. We move “at the speed of trust” and welcome feedback along the way. Our hope is that is does not feel contrived, but rather curated. You don’t have to talk but we believe once things get going you’ll want to jump in. And if no one talks? Don’t worry, we have prompts and pivots to engage any group eventually.

How are these community convos free?

We believe conversation is vital for good work and we want to provide these sessions for free to the wider community as a common good. These are made possible by generous donations as well as our upcoming membership which will sustain the work.

Is this leadership training? Therapy support group? Church? College seminar?

No! And yet we believe those spaces have their benefits and structures to learn from and plenty of blind spots that can lead to unintended consequences. Building off of tradition and towards a better future, this is a new concept to bring folks together not as a specific subculture, but rather a cross-cultural experiment to bring the good workers of all walks of life together to keep going, together.

What is a successful conversation?

We hope you will try on ways of seeing the world, test out tools, and share wisdom. We believe each conversation will bring you closer to your personal good work style melding the personal, relational, and earthly in a cohesive and dignified way unique to you and your work.

Meet the founder

Christina Langone is an educator, facilitator, and creative bringing together sustainability, conversation, and vision. For over a decade, she has inspired, challenged, and sustained people doing good work across classrooms, communities, and organizations. Through it all she has been guided by a reasonable belief in humanity and an artist’s eye towards better.

As a proud first-generation college student, she gained a BS in environmental science from UMass Amherst and then went on to get a master’s from Columbia University in climate science and communications.

She has trained thousands of students, custodians, principals, and educators in NYC public schools on how and why to integrate sustainability and later led nonprofit community education programs in Nashville including interview series, panels, and workshops. Along the way, she launched supportive and innovative programs, built an education team from the ground up, and learned the value of listening, experimenting, and trusting in human connection.

Alongside many moments of success and evolution she has openly stumbled and embarrassed herself enough to bring a comfortable, lived-in confidence around what works and what makes things weird.

After realizing her work wasn’t lighting her up anymore and seeing the common blind spots being made across industries to engage and support folks doing good work, she took a step back to reimagine her path forward.

She sees the need for a new twist on how we talk with each other, how we see the world around us, and what actually helps us to keep the good work going. Human Eyes Media was born in 2025 from this refreshed vision.
